     Position Overview

    The Shop Assistant / Cashier is responsible for delivering service excellence through efficient point-of-sale (POS) operations, customer service, and merchandising activities.

    The role focuses on creating a positive shopping experience while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency in-store. This position supports the company’s vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.

     Key Responsibilities

     Point of Sale (POS) Operations

    • Execute all POS activities accurately and efficiently

    • Scan merchandise correctly and collect payments

    • Process ClubCard rewards and enrol new members

    • Ensure safe handling of cash at all times

     Sales & Promotions

    • Proactively promote the Clicks ClubCard

    • Inform customers about promotions and special offers

    • Support store sales targets

     Customer Service

    • Deliver superior, friendly, and professional customer service

    • Act as a brand ambassador

    • Ensure customers “feel good and pay less”

     Merchandising & Housekeeping

    • Maintain merchandising and visual display standards

    • Execute general housekeeping duties

    • Maintain up-to-date product and promotion knowledge

     Knowledge Requirements

    • Basic maths calculations

    • Retail/FMCG background (advantageous)

    • Understanding of merchandising and promotional principles

    • Knowledge of stock management procedures

    • Customer service excellence principles

    Education:
