    Job Overview

    The Sales Representative will be responsible for growing the company’s customer base and sales revenue within the Free State region. The role focuses on acquiring new customers (spaza shops, forecourts, wholesalers), maintaining and growing existing accounts, and achieving sales and margin targets.

    The successful candidate will build strategic relationships, deliver excellent customer service, manage credit and debtors, and execute sales strategies and marketing campaigns to drive growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Customer Acquisition & Growth

    • Identify and recruit new customers within the assigned region.

    • Achieve monthly and quarterly acquisition targets.

    • Develop strategies to grow customer base and increase market penetration.

    2. Account Management

    • Maintain and grow existing customer accounts.

    • Meet or exceed sales volume and margin growth objectives.

    • Build strong customer relationships through regular contact and excellent service.

    3. Sales Execution

    • Conduct regular customer calls (minimum required weekly).

    • Take orders and present new product lines.

    • Negotiate pricing, promotions, and contracts to close deals.

    4. Credit & Debtor Management

    • Manage customer credit to maintain debtor days within agreed limits.

    • Ensure on-time payment collection and follow up on outstanding accounts.

    5. Customer Service & Feedback

    • Resolve customer queries within agreed turnaround times.

    • Capture customer feedback and report to management for improvement.

    6. Marketing & Promotions

    • Execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

    • Track performance and report on campaign results.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric).

    • Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in the FMCG sector.

    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.

    • Valid driver’s license.

    • Willingness to travel extensively within the Free State.

    • Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and mobile sales tools.

    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
