Job Overview
The Private Banking Advisor – Private Affluent role focuses on proactively managing and growing a portfolio of Private Wealth clients in collaboration with a team of Private Bankers. The role combines client relationship management, financial analysis, sales, service delivery, and stakeholder engagement to deliver exceptional banking solutions.
The incumbent plays a key role in acquiring new clients, retaining and growing existing portfolios, and identifying additional banking opportunities, while ensuring full compliance with regulatory, governance, and service standards. This role is suited to a financially savvy, service-driven professional who thrives in a performance-oriented and innovative banking environment.
Job Description
1. Client Portfolio and Relationship Management

Assist in managing a portfolio of Private Affluent and Private Wealth clients.

Deliver exceptional, proactive, and personalised banking service.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Ensure growth in customer base through effective management of existing clients and lead generation.

Exceed customer expectations by providing innovative and appropriate financial solutions.
2. Sales, Growth, and Business Development

Identify opportunities to acquire new clients and grow existing portfolios.

Support profit growth through effective sales and service fulfilment.

Manage and maintain an effective leads pipeline.

Achieve agreed financial targets and service level standards.

Market and promote relevant financial products and services.
3. Analysis, Advice, and Financial Solutions

Provide sound recommendations based on customer needs, financial trends, and current information.

Understand and explain financial services solutions within the Private Banking offering.

Assist clients with informed decision-making aligned to their financial goals.
4. Administration and Operational Excellence

Deliver efficient administration through accurate planning, reporting, and record-keeping.

Ensure all relevant systems and information are updated timeously.

Act responsibly with work-related resources to support cost containment.

Continuously improve ways of working through innovation and process improvement.
5. Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management

Comply with all statutory, legislative, policy, and governance requirements.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

RE5 Certificate
-
Degree (NQF Level 7) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Experience
-
2–3 years’ experience in a sales and/or service role within a financial services environment
Other Requirements

Must not be an unrehabilitated insolvent

Strong relationship management, sales, and analytical skills
