Purpose of the Job
To coordinate and manage the logistics of large-scale solar PV construction projects, ensuring materials, equipment, and personnel are moved and managed efficiently and in compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards. This role plays a crucial part in keeping renewable energy construction projects on schedule and within specification.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in logistics or supply chain coordination
At least 2 years experience on utility-scale solar PV projects
Knowledge/Skills:
Strong knowledge of South African construction and safety legislation
Skilled in subcontractor coordination and onsite logistics management
Proficient in MS Office (especially MS Project)
Experience managing QHSE documentation and inspections
Language:
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all onsite logistics for utility-scale solar PV projects
Manage laydown areas, site transport flow, and receiving processes
Conduct inspections of delivered goods and manage related documentation
Track material movements and monitor stock levels
Collaborate with subcontractors and support their performance on-site
Ensure all operations comply with QHSE and ISO standards
Conduct regular reporting, risk assessments, and site training
Support project timelines and ensure seamless delivery of equipment
