    Main Purpose of the Job:

    To provide general labour and service delivery support across the various departments of the Mangaung Metro Municipality, ensuring operational effectiveness and contributing to municipal service delivery goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform manual labour and general maintenance tasks

    • Assist in parks, cemeteries, waste management, roads, water, sanitation, and facilities services

    • Ensure cleanliness and functionality of public spaces

    • Support emergency and overtime operations as required

    • Follow health and safety protocols and municipal procedures

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Basic Literacy (Grade 8)

    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to communicate in at least two (2) official languages of service in the municipality

    • Must be willing to work outside of normal hours, including emergencies and planned overtime

    • Physically fit for labour-intensive tasks

    • Must comply with all municipal employment regulations and the POPI Act
