Role Overview:
AVBOB is seeking motivated and service-driven Financial Associates to join its Botshabelo Life office. The successful candidates will market AVBOB’s funeral insurance, savings plans, and related financial products while also recruiting funerals for the funeral division. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, marketing ability, and compliance with FAIS Fit and Proper standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Market AVBOB funeral insurance products, savings plans, and related offerings.
Recruit funerals for the AVBOB Funeral Division.
Build relationships within the community to generate leads and referrals.
Provide professional customer service and product information.
Uphold company values and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Key Requirements
Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12)
OR tertiary qualification with 30 credits on NQF Level 4
Must comply with FAIS Fit & Proper requirements depending on year entered into the industry:
2004–2007: 30 credits on NQF4 (deadline: 31 Dec 2009)
2008–2009: 30 or 60 credits on NQF4 (deadline: 31 Dec 2011) OR full FAIS qualification (deadline: 31 Dec 2013)
2010 onwards: Full FAIS-recognised qualification required
Experience
Marketing or sales experience (essential)
Skills & Competencies
Driver’s license + own reliable transport
Own cellphone
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good administrative ability
Time management skills

RE5 certification is an advantage (not mandatory)
