Job Overview
The Financial Advisor – Central is responsible for acquiring new clients, selling financial products, and providing after-sales service to ensure client retention and growth. The role contributes directly to the company’s revenue and market share by meeting sales targets, delivering quality service, and building long-term client relationships.
This position is ideal for a driven sales professional with strong communication skills, resilience, and the ability to work independently. The Financial Advisor must also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate client records.
Job Description
1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
Engage with prospective clients to understand their financial needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Provide after-sales service to support client retention and satisfaction.
Increase market share by growing the client base.
2. Sales and Business Growth
Sell Metropolitan financial products aligned to client needs.
Achieve targets related to production, quality, and conversion.
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
Drive new business through active prospecting and follow-ups.
3. Compliance and Administration
Ensure adherence to FAIS and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate client records and sales documentation.
Ensure compliance with all legislative and company policies.
Update client information and sales details accurately and timeously.
4. Planning and Performance
Plan and manage own time and activities effectively.
Track performance against targets and implement improvement actions.
Demonstrate self-reliance and resilience in a sales-driven environment.
Continuously develop sales skills and product knowledge.
Requirements
Qualifications
Matric / N4 Equivalent qualification
FAIS requirements based on DOFA date
Relevant regulatory exams (if already in financial services)
Experience
1–2 years’ experience (preferred) for candidates with undergraduate degree
2–3 years’ experience in a sales environment
