    Purpose of the Role

    To ensure all returned stock from customers is accurately processed, credited, and handled in compliance with UPD’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Warehouse Practices (GWP).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Accurately check, log, and verify all supplier returns (description, quantity, batch, and expiry date).

    • Capture and process claims correctly on both SAP and KNAPP systems.

    • Log claims on the supplier portal and maintain the RTV tracker daily.

    • Conduct stock checks on RTV block bins to verify batches, expiry dates, and quantities.

    • Liaise with buying and stock control teams on recalled or damaged stock.

    • Move damaged stock to the destruction cage for disposal as per SOP.

    • Maintain proper documentation and records of all returns and credits.

    • Ensure supplier return policies (1, 3, 4, and 6-month rules) are followed to prevent rejections.

    • Adhere strictly to security protocols and deadlines.

    • Coordinate and follow up on supplier approvals and scheduled uplifts.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric).

    • 1 year’s experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).

    • 1 year’s experience in customer returns / RTV processes (product handling & crediting).

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic PC literacy.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Basic product knowledge and familiarity with warehousing and distribution operations.

    • Understanding of SOPs, credit return processes, stock recalls, and GWP.

    • Good communication skills and ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.

    • Able to work independently and under pressure.

    • Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
