Purpose of the Role
The Motorbike Courier is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of medical specimens, laboratory reports, and parcels between healthcare facilities, laboratories, and clients. The position plays a critical role in supporting diagnostic services and ensuring that patient-related materials are handled with accuracy, care, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Collection and Delivery Services
- Collect and deliver medical specimens between healthcare facilities and laboratories.
- Transport laboratory reports and parcels safely and securely.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within required timeframes.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules efficiently.
Specimen Handling and Safety
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of medical specimens.
- Ensure specimens are transported according to company and healthcare standards.
- Follow all safety and handling procedures during transportation.
Customer Service and Communication
- Interact professionally with healthcare personnel, clients, and colleagues.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
- Communicate effectively regarding collections, deliveries, and operational issues.
Compliance and Operational Excellence
- Adhere to road safety regulations and company transport procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery and collection records.
- Ensure company vehicles and motorbikes are used responsibly.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric).
Licensing Requirements
- Valid South African Driver’s Licence: Code A (Motorbike Licence).
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year general driving experience.
