    Job Description

    The Managing Director: Corporate Services is a senior executive leadership role responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight across the corporate services portfolio, including Information & Technology, Human Capital, Legal Services, Marketing & Communication, SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality), Properties, and related support functions.

    The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, ensuring that corporate services operate as an integrated business enabler that supports organizational growth, operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and strategic objectives.

    This role requires a highly experienced executive with strong commercial acumen, strategic leadership capability, and the ability to influence decision-making at executive, board, industry, and stakeholder levels.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    • Provide strategic leadership and direction across all corporate services functions.
    • Develop and implement strategies that support the VKB Group’s overall business objectives.
    • Ensure alignment between corporate services and organizational priorities.
    • Drive sustainable growth and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Executive Partnership

    • Partner with the executive leadership team to shape and execute business strategy.
    • Contribute to strategic decision-making and long-term organizational planning.
    • Support the CEO and executive team on corporate affairs and stakeholder matters.

    Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management

    • Lead stakeholder engagement strategies at executive level.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry bodies, government stakeholders, and business partners.
    • Represent the organization professionally in external engagements.
    • Foster collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.

    Corporate Communication and Reputation Management

    • Lead strategic communication initiatives across the organization.
    • Guide executive messaging and corporate positioning.
    • Protect and enhance the organization’s reputation and brand.
    • Oversee corporate affairs and public relations activities.

    Governance and Operational Excellence

    • Support effective corporate governance practices.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Relevant postgraduate qualification.
    • MBA or equivalent executive qualification preferred.

    Experience

    • More than 10 years of senior and executive management experience.
    • Extensive experience in corporate services leadership.
    • Proven experience in stakeholder relations and strategic communications.
    • Experience in corporate affairs, brand management, or reputation management.
    • Track record of leading large, high-performing teams.
