    Job Description

    The Operations Coordinator / Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the end-to-end operational process, including order management, production planning, inventory control, logistics coordination, and stakeholder communication. The role ensures efficient operations, timely product delivery, optimal resource utilization, and excellent customer service while maintaining operational compliance and profitability.

    The successful candidate will serve as the key link between production, sales, procurement, and logistics teams, ensuring smooth communication and effective execution of business operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Operational Management

    • Manage the complete order process from receipt to fulfilment.
    • Ensure all orders are processed accurately and according to company procedures.
    • Monitor operational workflows and identify areas for improvement.
    • Resolve operational challenges and production bottlenecks proactively.

    2. Production Planning and Scheduling

    • Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.
    • Monitor production progress and performance.
    • Optimize production capacity and resource utilization.
    • Ensure production activities align with operational objectives.

    3. Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination

    • Monitor stock levels and product availability.
    • Maintain visibility of inventory requirements and demand forecasts.
    • Coordinate with procurement to ensure the timely availability of materials.
    • Prevent stock shortages and manage inventory efficiently.

    4. Pricing and Commercial Support

    • Manage and distribute fertilizer price lists.
    • Ensure pricing information remains accurate and competitive.
    • Support commercial activities by working closely with sales teams.
    • Assist in maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships.

    5. Logistics Coordination

    • Coordinate product deliveries and transportation schedules.
    • Communicate delivery timelines and updates to relevant stakeholders.
    • Ensure smooth interaction between logistics, production, and sales departments.
    • Track and monitor delivery progress to ensure customer satisfaction.

    6. Financial Administration

    • Apply financial knowledge to operational processes.
    • Support cost management and profitability objectives.
    • Maintain accurate operational and financial records.
    • Assist with reporting and operational performance analysis.

    7. Stakeholder Communication

    • Act as the central communication point between departments.
    • Provide updates regarding production, inventory, and delivery schedules.
    • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Facilitate collaboration across multiple business functions.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fertilizer, agricultural, or production environment.
    • Excellent experience and expertise in financial matters.
    • Experience working in operations, production planning, logistics, or supply chain environments.

    Technical Skills

    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
    • Experience using Business Central.
    • Strong computer literacy and systems capability.

    Language Requirements

    • Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
