Job Description
The successful contractor will be appointed to provide lift maintenance services across designated facilities in the Free State Province for a period of three months.
The work will involve maintaining lift systems to ensure their continued operational efficiency, reliability and safety. The contractor will be expected to use appropriately qualified personnel and comply with the relevant technical standards and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
The appointed service provider will be responsible for:
- Performing maintenance on lifts at designated facilities.
- Ensuring lifts remain safe and operational.
- Conducting necessary inspections and maintenance activities.
- Identifying and addressing technical faults and maintenance requirements.
- Ensuring maintenance work complies with applicable technical standards.
- Using suitably qualified and accredited personnel.
- Maintaining equipment in accordance with the relevant requirements and specifications.
- Responding to maintenance requirements during the three-month contract period.
- Complying with all occupational health and safety requirements.
- Completing all work according to the official tender documentation.
Requirements
Tenderers must meet the following key requirements:
- CIDB contractor grading of 1SI or 1ME or higher.
- Submit copies of Electrical Artisan Trade Test Certificates.
- Submit an Electrical Installation Card issued by MERSETA or an authorised accreditation authority.
- Submit a Lift Mechanic Trade Test Certificate or Lift Operator Trade Test Certificate issued by MERSETA or an authorised accreditation authority.
- Qualifications must comply with the SANS 10360 code of practice.
- Demonstrate relevant experience in lift maintenance and related technical services.
- Have suitably qualified technical personnel.
- Comply with applicable safety regulations and technical standards.
Important: Only tenderers who submit the required electrical and lift-related trade certificates/documentation will be eligible to submit tenders.
