Project Objective
The objective of this tender is to replace the existing extraction hood at the canteen of Lethabo Power Station to improve ventilation, safety, and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with Eskom quality standards and ISO requirements.
Scope of Work
The successful contractor will be responsible for:
- Removal of the existing extraction hood.
- Supply of a new extraction hood system.
- Installation of the new extraction hood.
- Testing and commissioning of the installed system.
- Compliance with Eskom quality and safety standards.
- Delivery of all associated documentation.
The contractor may also be required to supply or install related components such as:
- Extractor fans
- Ventilation ducting
- Mechanical fittings
- Electrical connections associated with the equipment
CIDB Requirement
Mandatory CIDB Grading
- Required CIDB Rating: 2 ME or higher
ME refers to Mechanical Engineering Works.
Only suppliers with a valid CIDB Grade 2 ME or higher are eligible.
Quality Management Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate an operational ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management System (QMS).

Technical Requirements

Completion of Form A confirming compliance with Eskom standards is also required.
