Lecturer – Logistics and Supply Chain
The Lecturer – Logistics and Supply Chain is responsible for delivering lectures, preparing students for assessments, and providing academic support within the faculty. The role focuses on ensuring effective teaching and learning by engaging students, identifying those at risk, developing assessments, and working closely with the Programme Coordinator to monitor and improve academic performance. The lecturer will also contribute to the development of teaching materials, research activities, and the continuous improvement of academic programmes.

Responsibilities:

Deliver lectures and facilitate learning according to module requirements and academic schedules.

Prepare students for assessments and provide feedback on their academic progress.

Identify and support at-risk students to improve academic performance.

Manage academic resources and collaborate with the Information Centre.

Update the Learning Management System and monitor student engagement and assessment submissions.

Participate in academic meetings and collaborate with other faculty members.

Support part-time lecturers with academic and faculty requirements.

Analyse module results and assist in identifying at-risk modules.

Develop teaching and learning materials to support module outcomes.

Assist with student registration and orientation when required.

Contribute to academic research or participate in professional academic development initiatives.
Qualifications:

Honours Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 8).

Ability to teach Marketing or Business-related modules will be advantageous.

2–3 years of lecturing or formal tutoring experience.

1–3 years of industry experience in the field of logistics or supply chain management (advantageous).
