Job Purpose
The role of the Lecturer is to facilitate learning in the field of Economics through engaging classroom delivery, student consultation, academic research, and module development—while supporting students’ academic growth and success.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver lectures in-person and/or online, as required

Provide academic support and one-on-one consultations with students
-
Conduct and review results analysis at module level
-
Mark assessments and give meaningful, constructive feedback
-
Identify and support at-risk students through targeted interventions
-
Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
-
Bachelor of Commerce in Economics (required)
-
Honours degree in Economics (preferred)
Experience
-
1–3 years industry experience in Economics or related field
-
1–3 years academic lecturing experience
-
Strong understanding of SA Higher Education landscape, policies, and quality standards

Knowledge of teaching theory, assessment methods, and academic support
