    Lecturer – Higher Certificate in Business Management (Digital and Academic Literacies)

    The Lecturer will be responsible for teaching and engaging students in the Higher Certificate in Business Management programme with a focus on Digital and Academic Literacies. The role involves delivering lectures, managing academic resources, supporting students, preparing assessments, and monitoring academic performance.     Responsibilities:

    • Deliver engaging lectures in line with module-specific requirements.

    • Manage academic materials and consult with the Information Centre.

    • Update the learning management system and provide timely student feedback.

    • Identify at-risk students and develop assessments with the Central Academic Team.

    • Monitor student engagement and escalate concerns where necessary.

    • Analyse student results and support monitoring of at-risk modules.

    • Participate in academic meetings and professional development initiatives.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 3-year degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Education, Finance, or Management.

    • 2–3 years lecturing or formal tutoring experience.

    • 1–3 years of relevant industry experience advantageous.

    • Qualification one NQF level higher than the course being taught.

    • Copy of academic transcript required.

    Key Competencies:

    • Understanding of South African higher education systems and regulatory frameworks.

    • Knowledge of teaching and learning theories.

    • Strong ability to support and engage students in a digital learning environment.

    • Adaptability to evolving circumstances and adherence to academic standards.

    • Deadline-driven with strong communication and time management skills.

    Working Hours:

    • Flexible, remote teaching environment with pre-recorded lectures and online interaction.
