Key Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Computer Science and/or Information Systems
Supervise honours and co-supervise master’s students
Conduct research in departmental focus areas:
Business Intelligence and Text Mining
Computer Science Education
Eye-Tracking Applications
Human-Computer Interaction and Extended Reality
Digital Inclusion and Community Engagement in IT
Publish research in accredited peer-reviewed journals
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
Engage in community outreach
Carry out administrative tasks at departmental/university level
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD (NQF Level 10) in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related discipline (for permanent appointment)
ORMaster’s degree (NQF Level 9) in the same fields (5-year contract appointment with PhD completion required for permanency)
Undergraduate lecturing experience
Participation in academic conferences (poster or oral presentations)
Evidence of research work (e.g., manuscripts or published papers)
A strong academic record
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Specialisation in Software Development, Computer Networking, or Mobile App Development
Ability to teach modules in Information Systems, Computer Science, and Software Engineering
Track record of research output
