     IT Lecturer

    Eduvos is seeking to appoint a qualified and motivated IT Lecturer to join our Bloemfontein campus on an independent contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong programming and web development knowledge, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to academic excellence.

    Purpose of the Role:

    • To deliver high-quality lectures for Information Technology-related modules.

      As a Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of aspiring professionals.

    • To contribute to administrative and departmental duties as required.

    • To support the academic success of students through innovative and effective teaching and learning practices.

      The Lecturer will also be instrumental in developing innovative courses.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education:

    Having a strong background in the field will greatly benefit your teaching methodology.

    • BSc Honours Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent postgraduate qualification.

    Experience:

    Experience in the field is essential for delivering quality education.

    • 1–2 years of lecturing or teaching experience at a tertiary institution.

    • Knowledge of higher education policies and practices.

    • Demonstrated research engagement will be an added advantage.

    Modules to be Lectured:

    • Programming Languages: C#, Java, Python

    • Web Development: HTML, CSS

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate lectures, seminars, and tutorials.

    • Prepare and update lecture notes and learning resources.

    • Design, set, and mark assessments and examinations.

    • Perform general academic administration duties.

    • Ensure academic quality assurance in teaching and assessment.

    • Monitor and provide support to at-risk students.

    • Engage in departmental development and curriculum improvement.
