Job Description
The Agricultural Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, repair and inspection of agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation.
The position will primarily focus on CASE agricultural machinery as part of a CASE Agency. The successful candidate will provide high-quality technical and customer service in accordance with manufacturer standards and VKB policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile quotations based on customer needs and specifications.
- Service, repair and overhaul mechanical components of agricultural equipment and vehicles.
- Complete service worksheets according to VKB policies and procedures.
- Comply with all Health and Safety standards.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Complete guarantee claims and relevant claim information accurately.
- Train and mentor relevant personnel on VKB policies and procedures.
- Promote and cross-market relevant products and promotions.
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers and clients.
- Perform daily ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
- Completed N2 – Tractor Mechanic qualification.
- 2–5 years’ experience as a mechanic.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics and basic electrical systems.
- Strong attention to detail with a thorough, precise and accurate approach.
- Ability to continuously add value to the position.
- Clear criminal record.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
