Job Overview
VKB Group is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Assistant to join its Finance team at the Head Office in Reitz. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the accounts payable function by ensuring the accurate processing of supplier invoices, reconciling creditor accounts, processing payments, and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers. This position is well suited to an organised finance professional who can work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
- Administer creditor statements, reconciliations, and payments.
- Verify and reconcile supplier accounts.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries.
- Ensure creditors are paid according to agreed payment terms.
Administration
- Supervise the Administrative Assistant responsible for invoice processing.
- Follow up on outstanding documentation.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Perform general accounts payable administration.
Communication and Support
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors.
- Assist with ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 with Accounting or Mathematics as subjects.
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or accounts payable role.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
