- Job Title: Post Basic Qualified Pharmacist Assistant

Responsibilities:
-
Assist with the sale of Schedule 1 and 2 medicines under pharmacist supervision
-
Compound, manufacture, and repackage non-sterile medicines according to approved SOPs
-
Manage the distribution and control of Schedule 1 to 5 medicines
-
Process medication orders, including up to Schedule 6 substances
-
Accurately interpret prescriptions, prepare and dispense medication
-
Capture and verify patient details and prescriptions on Unisolv
-
Provide patients with usage instructions and health information
-
Handle script tracking, medical aid rejections, and claims processing
-
Assist with dispensary stock receiving, stock takes, and FEFO merchandising
-
Maintain customer records and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
-
Grade 12 / Matric
-
Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification
-
Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
-
Experience using Unisolv and MS Office
-
Proficiency in English and one additional South African language
-
Willing and able to work retail hours
Advantageous:
-
Knowledge of Retail/FMCG operations
-
3rd additional language
-
Experience with SAP, E-Scripting, and complementary medicine
