Job Purpose:
To manage and coordinate daily operations within a warehouse environment, ensuring efficient inventory control, staff supervision, safety compliance, and timely dispatch of goods. This role plays a critical part in supporting supply chain continuity, particularly within pharmaceutical or retail warehouse settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities: receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching
Maintain inventory accuracy through stock counts and system updates
Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical or retail products
Enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards
Monitor and manage staff performance, attendance, and productivity
Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics to ensure stock availability and timely deliveries
Report on warehouse KPIs such as turnaround times, stock accuracy, and damage control
Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, policies, and regulatory standards
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Grade 12 (Matric) – essential
Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management – advantageous
Experience:
3–5 years’ supervisory experience in a retail or pharmaceutical warehouse environment
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations
Effective leadership and team supervision skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably ERP/WMS systems
Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
Understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards
