    Purpose of the Role

    The Tyre Attendant is responsible for tyre fitting, maintenance, repairs, balancing, loading and unloading activities, while ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Tyre Installation and Maintenance

    • Install and fit tyres on customer vehicles and equipment.
    • Cover and secure tyres as required.
    • Perform tyre overhauls and maintenance.
    • Inspect tyres for damage and wear.

    Tyre Repairs

    • Repair punctures and tyre leaks.
    • Conduct general tyre repair work.
    • Ensure repaired tyres meet safety standards before use.

    Tyre Balancing

    • Balance tyres to improve vehicle performance and safety.
    • Check tyre condition before and after balancing.

    Loading and Offloading

    • Load and unload tyres safely.
    • Ensure correct handling and storage procedures are followed.
    • Assist with stock movement within the department.

    Housekeeping and Safety

    • Maintain cleanliness and order within the work area.
    • Follow workplace safety procedures.
    • Store tools and equipment safely after use.
    • Ensure the work environment remains safe and organized.

    Customer Service

    • Provide professional and friendly service.
    • Build customer trust through quality workmanship.
    • Contribute to customer satisfaction and repeat business.

    Minimum Requirements

    Essential

    • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or relevant work experience.

    Advantageous

    • 1–2 years relevant tyre-fitting or tyre-service experience.
