Job Description
PEP is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Store Manager to lead a team and ensure the successful operation of a new PEP Home store. The role focuses on achieving business targets through excellent customer service, strong team leadership, effective stock management, cost control, risk management, and maintaining world-class store standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance while creating a positive shopping experience and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Service
- Drive store sales and achieve business targets.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience.
- Implement promotional activities effectively.
- Maintain high standards of store presentation and image.
Stock Management and Loss Prevention
- Manage stock effectively.
- Monitor stock levels and availability.
- Minimise stock losses through proper controls and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to stock handling and security processes.
- Implement cash handling procedures correctly.
Cost Control
- Manage store expenses according to company guidelines.
- Promote efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
- Support the company’s low-cost operating culture.
Administration
- Ensure all store administration is completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and motivate a team of employees (“Dynamos”).
- Provide coaching, training, and ongoing support.
- Monitor and manage team performance.
- Create a positive and productive work environment.
Health, Safety and Housekeeping
- Maintain store cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Promote a safe working environment for employees and customers.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric).
Language Requirement
- Proficient in English.

Experience Requirements
Essential
- 1–2 years’ experience in a retail environment.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
