JOB OVERVIEW
The Store Manager role at PEP is responsible for leading a store team to achieve business performance targets (KPIs), including sales growth, cost control, stock management, customer service excellence, and maintaining high store standards.
The role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced retail environment with a strong focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sales & Customer Experience
- Drive sales growth through excellent customer service
- Maintain world-class store standards and brand image
- Implement promotions and merchandising strategies effectively
2. Stock & Loss Control
- Minimise stock loss through strict security and stock handling procedures
- Manage stock levels, stock movement, and inventory accuracy
- Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures
3. Cost & Operational Management
- Drive low-cost operational efficiency
- Manage store expenses in line with company guidelines
- Ensure smooth daily store operations
4. Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop store staff (“Dynamos”)
- Manage performance, training, and team motivation
- Build a strong and disciplined store culture
5. Administration & Compliance
- Ensure all store administrative duties are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain health, safety, and housekeeping standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Proficient in English
- Retail-related diploma or degree (advantageous)
- 1–2 years leadership experience in retail (preferred)
- Computer literacy (MS Office / Google GSuite advantageous)
