Job Description
PEP is seeking a Store Manager to lead the PEP Home Thaba Nchu store. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing costs, reducing stock losses, overseeing administration and maintaining high store standards while leading and developing the store team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales through excellent customer service and high store standards.
- Maintain the store image and ensure effective stock management.
- Implement promotional activities and initiatives.
- Minimise stock losses by following security, stock and cash-handling procedures.
- Manage store costs and improve operational efficiencies.
- Ensure all store administration is completed according to company guidelines.
- Lead, train, coach and develop the store team.
- Manage team performance and take ownership of staff development.
- Maintain health, safety, housekeeping and general store standards.
- Ensure the store operates efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Proficiency in English.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business or retail would be an advantage.
- Ideally 1–2 years’ experience in a retail environment in a leadership role.
- Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft and/or Google GSuite, will be an advantage.
