STATE ACCOUNTANT REF NO: SA/2025
Job Title: State Accountant
Company: Free State Department of Agriculture and Rural Development

Salary: R325,101 per annum (Level 07)
Responsibilities:

Perform general financial accounting duties within the department
-
Handle processes related to revenue, debt, and banking transactions
-
Ensure proper bookkeeping and ledger management using LOGIS, BAS, and PERSAL systems
-
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of financial controls and compliance
-
Prepare reconciliations, financial reports, and audits
-
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to promote sound financial governance
Qualifications:

Minimum NQF Level 6 qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

At least 2–3 years of relevant financial experience preferred
-
Experience with government financial systems (LOGIS, BAS, PERSAL) is an added advantage
