Job Overview
The Sales Associate – Northwest Region is responsible for driving sales growth, increasing market share, and expanding product distribution within an assigned territory. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring excellent in-store execution of JTI products.
This position suits a motivated, results-driven individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced field environment, takes ownership of their territory, and collaborates effectively with internal teams to execute company strategies. The Sales Associate plays a key role in representing JTI in the market while ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining high operational standards.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Achieve monthly sales volume targets and business objectives in line with regional goals.

Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with customers to successfully implement company sales programs.

Ensure optimal product visibility, availability, pricing, and listings across all outlets within the assigned territory.

Conduct regular field visits and accurately record daily sales activities, market insights, and customer data using digital tools.

Manage stock levels and cash sales in accordance with company policies to prevent stock shortages and maximize distribution.

Identify new business opportunities, expansion areas, and growth potential, and report these insights to the sales team.

Execute sales and merchandising activities in line with JTI standards and strategic initiatives.
Key Requirements (Summary)

2–3 years’ experience in sales and merchandising, preferably within FMCG or the tobacco industry.

Matric certificate required; a tertiary qualification in business or related fields is an advantage.

Valid driver’s license and ability to work in a field-based role.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
-
Fluency in English; Afrikaans is an added advantage.

Competent in MS Office and digital reporting tools.
