Key Responsibilities:

Conduct risk assessments and safety audits
-
Train staff on safety protocols and procedures
-
Ensure correct PPE is issued and used at all times
-
Investigate accidents/incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
-
Implement and monitor Safety Management Plans for projects
-
Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and relevant regulations
-
Facilitate monthly health and safety meetings, keeping accurate records
-
Advise and support line managers on SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) matters
-
Apply HSE legislation and best practices
-
Coordinate communication across departments regarding safety-related issues
Minimum Requirements:
-
National Diploma in Safety Management or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
-
SACPCMP Registration (mandatory)
-
5–8 years’ experience in construction and solar industry
-
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and management systems
-
Valid Driver’s License – must be willing to travel
-
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
