Job Description
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for carrying out routine clerical duties related to receiving, recording, and controlling stock. The role ensures accurate stock management, maintains proper records, supports store operations, and provides excellent customer service in a dynamic agricultural retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Receiving and Control
- Receive stock accurately and efficiently.
- Process stock receipts and returns.
- Maintain accurate stock records.
- Ensure effective stock control procedures are followed.
Store Support
- Assist with store and sales floor operations when required.
- Support general retail activities.
- Perform cashier duties when required as a substitute cashier.
Customer Service
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Assist customers professionally and efficiently.
- Uphold VKB’s customer service standards.
Administrative Duties
- Perform routine clerical and administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
- Ensure attention to detail in all stock-related transactions.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Experience in the agricultural industry will be an advantage.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to improve processes and add value.
