Job Description
The General Worker performs general manual duties that require minimal induction and supports the daily operations of the retail branch. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, assisting with stock handling, providing customer service, and ensuring that the premises remain clean, organised, and safe.
Key Responsibilities
General Operations
- Perform general labour and operational tasks.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the premises.
- Carry out housekeeping duties.
- Complete ad hoc duties as assigned.
Stock Handling
- Load and offload stock safely.
- Assist customers and suppliers with loading and unloading goods.
- Support stock control activities.
- Handle stock according to company policies and procedures.
Customer Service
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
- Assist customers with their enquiries and purchases.
- Contribute to a positive customer experience.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Ability to load and offload stock.
- Ability to perform physically demanding manual labour.
- Basic understanding of stock control.
