    Job Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to oversee daily operations at our grain cleaning and milling facility. The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, meeting output targets, maintaining product quality, and ensuring compliance with FSSC22000 and other food safety standards.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food or agricultural production environments, with proven leadership capabilities and solid technical knowledge of production processes. This role requires cross-functional collaboration, strong planning skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    Production & Operations Management

    • Oversee day-to-day production activities, including milling, cleaning, packing, and dispatch.

    • Ensure production targets are consistently met while maintaining quality standards.

    • Implement, monitor, and adjust production schedules and workflow.

    • Optimize resource allocation, equipment usage, and production efficiency.

    Team Leadership

    • Lead, supervise, and motivate production staff.

    • Coordinate training programs and manage staff performance.

    • Foster a high-performance, teamwork-focused culture.

    Quality & Food Safety

    • Ensure compliance with FSSC22000 and other relevant food safety regulations.

    • Support regulatory, customer, and internal audit requirements.

    • Work closely with Quality and Laboratory teams to uphold product standards.

    Continuous Improvement & Efficiency

    • Identify and implement efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

    • Reduce downtime through proactive coordination and process optimization.

    • Support ongoing enhancement of plant operations and workflow.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate with Procurement, Maintenance, Quality, and Laboratory teams to ensure operational continuity.

    • Assist with raw material and packaging inventory planning.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Enforce workplace health and safety protocols and company policies.

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.

    Administration & Reporting

    • Support budget planning and cost management initiatives.

    • Track and analyze production metrics, performance indicators, and operational data.

    • Prepare reports for management as required.

    Requirements

    Experience

    • 3–5 years’ experience in production management (food or agricultural sector preferred).

    • Experience with food safety systems; FSSC22000 knowledge is a strong advantage.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong leadership and communication skills.

    • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced production environment.

    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

    • Solid understanding of production workflows, equipment, and process optimization.
