Job Overview:
NCRS (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and procurement strategy across construction and solar-related operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of supply chain processes, vendor evaluation, and cost optimisation strategies while ensuring legal compliance and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, vendors, and contractors
Develop, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts to meet company objectives
Procure goods, services, and works in line with project and organizational needs
Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure reliability and performance
Negotiate prices, manage procurement budgets, and ensure cost-effectiveness
Ensure that procured items and services meet quality and regulatory standards
Identify and manage procurement risks to avoid supply chain disruptions
Ensure procurement practices are compliant with company policies and legal requirements
Manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and avoid shortages/excess
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to create business value
Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and evaluate trends
Administer contracts and resolve disputes to ensure supplier compliance and smooth operations
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
CPSM Certification (Certified Professional in Supply Management) is an advantage
5+ years of procurement experience in the construction industry
5+ years of procurement experience in the solar industry
Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP)
Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics
Valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel as required
