Job Description
VKB Group is seeking a reliable and organised Picker to join its Distribution Centre in Bethlehem. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking, checking, packing, receiving and dispatching stock while ensuring accurate stock control and efficient warehouse operations.
The position requires someone with strong attention to detail, excellent timekeeping and the ability to work independently. The role also involves the manual handling of products weighing up to 15kg, while forklift operation may be required.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Picking stock according to requirements.
- Checking stock for accuracy and quality.
- Packing stock safely and correctly.
- Receiving incoming stock.
- Dispatching outgoing stock.
- Maintaining accurate stock control.
- Operating a forklift where required.
- Handling products manually, with a maximum weight of 15kg.
- Ensuring warehouse activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining an organised and productive working environment.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar position.
- A valid forklift licence will be advantageous.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent timekeeping skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to handle products weighing up to 15kg.
