    Job Description

    VKB Mechanization is looking for an organised and reliable Admin Assistant to provide administrative and operational support at its Bethlehem branch. The successful candidate will assist with financial transactions, stock administration, customer service, workshop administration, documentation and general office duties.

    The role requires someone who is accurate, numerate, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple administrative responsibilities while providing excellent service to internal and external customers.

    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Handling and balancing petty cash transactions.
    • Completing end-of-day reconciliations.
    • Balancing and banking daily transactions.
    • Registering, processing and completing claims.
    • Issuing GRVs for stock.
    • Monitoring deviation reports.
    • Assisting with stock takes.
    • Receiving supplier deliveries in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Liaising with internal and external customers and departments to ensure quality service.
    • Performing general administrative duties and ad-hoc tasks as required.
    • Performing workshop administrative duties.
    • Maintaining workshop safety documentation.
    • Managing and maintaining job cards.
    • Providing general administrative and operational support to ensure smooth branch operations.

    Requirements

    Applicants should meet the following requirements:

    • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.
    • Previous experience in a workshop or spares environment will be advantageous.
    • Computer literate, particularly in the Microsoft Office package.
    • Willingness to work 6 days per week, Monday to Saturday.
