Job Description
VKB Group is seeking a reliable, organised and hardworking Picker to join its Distribution Centre in Bethlehem, Free State.
The successful candidate will be responsible for picking, checking, packing, receiving and dispatching stock while maintaining accurate stock control. The role also involves handling products, operating a forklift where qualified and ensuring that warehouse activities are completed efficiently and safely.
The ideal candidate should have good attention to detail, strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently in a busy distribution environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Pick stock according to orders and ensure the correct products and quantities are selected.
Check and pack stock accurately before dispatch.
Receive incoming stock and verify the goods received.
Dispatch stock according to established procedures.
Maintain proper stock control and accurate inventory records.
Operate a forklift when required and appropriately licensed.
Handle and move products manually, with a maximum stated product weight of 15 kg.
Ensure stock is handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.
Maintain an organised and orderly working environment.
Complete assigned tasks accurately and within the required timeframes.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric) or an NQF Level 4 qualification.
At least one year of experience in a similar position.
A valid forklift licence will be advantageous.
