Job Description
VKB Group is seeking a reliable, experienced and safety-conscious Code 14 Driver to join its Distribution Centre in Bethlehem, Free State. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting and delivering goods on time, maintaining accurate stock records during loading and offloading, and providing professional customer service.
The ideal candidate must have a valid Code 14 driving licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP), at least three years of relevant driving experience, and the ability to comply with company procedures and road safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Transport and deliver goods safely and on time.
Ensure that deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently.
Minimise risks to the company by following safety procedures and operational guidelines.
Report all incidents and accidents to management promptly.
Monitor the loading and offloading of stock from the truck.
Maintain 100% accuracy when checking and handling stock.
Provide professional customer service to clients.
Complete job-related administrative duties.
Maintain compliance with company policies and relevant transport regulations.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
Valid Code 14 driving licence.
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar driving role.
Experience in the agricultural industry will be an advantage.
Ability to work accurately, thoroughly and responsibly.
Willingness to contribute to the improvement of the department’s operations.
