    Ampath Laboratories is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood and non-blood specimens with accuracy and compassion, contributing to patient care and diagnostic excellence. The role combines technical proficiency with a strong focus on patient experience, safety, and quality standards.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Collect blood and non-blood specimens safely, efficiently, and accurately.

    • Ensure proper patient identification and documentation.

    • Manage patient data using digital systems.

    • Maintain hygiene, safety, and quality standards in specimen handling.

    • Handle patient interactions with empathy and professionalism.

    • Contribute to smooth laboratory operations and quality service delivery.

    • Act as an ambassador for Ampath, building trust and enhancing patient experience.

     Minimum Requirements

    • Recognised qualification in Phlebotomy or Nursing.

    • Current registration with HPCSA or SANC.

    • Proven ability to work in a patient-focused, high-quality healthcare environment.

     Skills & Competencies

    • Clear and compassionate communication in English.

    • Technical proficiency in phlebotomy procedures.

    • Competence with digital tools for patient data management.

    • Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a healthcare team.
