     Role Purpose

    The Network Support Officer ensures that all IT infrastructure and communications systems — including networks, CCTV, VOIP, and access control — operate efficiently and securely across the organization.
    You’ll be responsible for technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and system optimization while providing high-quality end-user support.

     Key Responsibilities

    1. IT & End-User Support

    • Provide technical support to users for hardware, software, and networking issues.

    • Manage ICT hardware needs, installations, and maintenance.

    • Conduct monthly depot checks and ensure system readiness.

    • Perform financial and asset management for IT-related expenses.

    2. Network & Systems Maintenance

    • Install, configure, and maintain:

      • CCTV systems

      • Access control systems

      • PABX and VOIP telephone systems

      • Clocking and attendance systems

      • Two-way radio systems

      • General computer hardware and automation systems

    • Maintain network connectivity and uptime.

    • Ensure all systems comply with company IT standards and policies.

    3. Remote and Communication Technologies

    • Use remote management tools such as RDP, VNC, and TeamViewer.

    • Support and maintain Unifi Controllers, Ubiquiti Hardware, and Mikrotik Routers.

    • Manage Active Directory and user accounts.

    4. Documentation & Compliance

    • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance, installations, and system changes.

    • Follow best practices in IT asset management and data security.

    • Carry out any reasonable IT-related tasks as needed.

     Minimum Qualifications

    • Grade 12 (Matric)

    • Relevant IT qualification or diploma

    • A+ and N+ certification (required)

     Experience & Technical Skills

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience in an IT/network support role.

    • Strong knowledge of:

      • Windows OS & Microsoft 365

      • Networking fundamentals

      • CCTV setup and troubleshooting

      • Unifi / Ubiquiti networks

      • VOIP and Mikrotik routers

      • Active Directory

      • Structured cabling standards

      • Two-way radio systems (e.g., Motorola, Kirisun)

    • Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple technical issues simultaneously.
