     Job Overview:

    Hire Resolve is urgently seeking a Meat Equipment Technician for their client in the Trade & Technical sector. This hands-on role involves the maintenance, repair, installation, and optimization of various meat processing machines.

     Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and service meat processing equipment (band saws, mincers, sausage fillers, blenders).

    • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults.

    • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) to reduce downtime.

    • Install, calibrate, and set up new equipment.

    • Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

    • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports.

    • Assist during plant shutdowns and new equipment installations.

    • Provide emergency breakdown repairs to minimize production delays.

    • Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance.

    • Monitor machine health and recommend upgrades or replacements.

    • Maintain stock levels of spare parts and tools.

    • Follow food safety and quality assurance protocols.

    • Support equipment relocations and re-installations.

     Requirements:

    • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within food processing.

    • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

    • Hands-on experience with meat processing machines (band saws, fillers, etc.).

    • Understanding of PLC systems and variable speed drives (VSDs).

    • Knowledge of food safety regulations in meat processing.

    • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced settings.

    • Good communication skills (written and verbal).

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.

    • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

    • Relevant technical qualification (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering).

    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts.

    • Valid driver’s license (if site travel is required).

    • Familiarity with health and safety in industrial environments.
