Responsibilities:
Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth production flow
Maintain consistency across all menu items and food quality
Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to the Catering Manager
Ensure proper portion control, food preparation, and storage methods
Minimise food waste and monitor in-unit costs effectively
Support and develop kitchen staff through training and coaching
Maintain temperature records and assist with stock takes
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and industry-specific regulations
Assist with food production and completion of relevant paperwork
Qualifications:
Matric (essential)
Tertiary qualification in Food & Beverage Services or Culinary Arts (compulsory)
Minimum 2 years of progressive kitchen management experience (compulsory)
Computer literate (WorkSmart knowledge is essential)
Experience in stock control, ordering, and receiving
