    Job Overview:

    The Inventory Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of surgical inventory and related pharmaceutical services within the Pharmacy. This role ensures quality service delivery, financial performance, compliance, and people management aligned with company and regulatory standards.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric / Grade 12

    • Relevant Degree or Diploma (minimum NQF Level 7)

    • Experience in inventory or pharmacy environments

    • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes

    • Understanding of healthcare operating environments and relationship structures

    • Experience in people management

    • Financial and numeric proficiency

    • Strong computer literacy

    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Surgical Product Safety Management

    • Report all inventory incidents and implement corrective actions

    • Conduct quarterly trend analyses

    • Drive reduction in adverse events and improve stock management processes

    2. Quality Management Systems

    • Ensure compliance with SAPC, DOH, and internal standards

    • Support audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives

    • Drive pharmacy quality and customer satisfaction in theatres and wards

    3. Financial Management

    • Support budgeting and monthly operational efficiency targets

    • Identify financial trends and take corrective action

    4. Product Management

    • Manage cost of sales and ensure accurate product data

    • Improve compliance with formulary, utilization, and cost targets

    • Collaborate with Pharmacy, Theatres, and doctors on product use and changes

    5. Asset Management

    • Meet stock KPIs and participate in regular stock takes

    • Guide staff on optimal system usage and inventory procedures

    6. People Management

    • Lead, motivate, and develop pharmacy inventory staff

    • Promote a positive, professional, and ethical work culture

    • Ensure effective recruitment, training, and retention practices
