Job Overview:

This role focuses on risk-based audit planning, execution, and reporting across diverse operations within the VKB Group. It offers a unique opportunity to work within a values-driven agricultural organization that has been impacting communities for over a century.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and report on audits per VKB Internal Audit Methodology
Develop audit programs and perform detailed fieldwork
Prepare comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations
Review work conducted by junior auditors and trainees
Apply data analysis techniques to enhance auditing procedures
Identify risks and test internal controls
Liaise with management during audits to gather insights and clarify findings
Mentor and manage SAICA trainees
Continuously improve auditing tools and processes
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Auditing (SAICA or CIA-accredited)
Completed articles (SAICA or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years of audit experience
Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and risk assessment
Valid Code 8 driver’s license
Willingness and ability to travel
Self-starter with an ability to work independently and in a team
Tech-savvy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience in Arbutus Analyzer and/or Power BI (advantageous)
