    Job Overview:

    Are you the Sherlock Holmes of spreadsheets? VKB Group is looking for a detail-oriented Internal Auditor who thrives on uncovering insights, improving processes, and safeguarding operational efficiency across the business.

    This role focuses on risk-based audit planning, execution, and reporting across diverse operations within the VKB Group. It offers a unique opportunity to work within a values-driven agricultural organization that has been impacting communities for over a century.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, execute, and report on audits per VKB Internal Audit Methodology

    • Develop audit programs and perform detailed fieldwork

    • Prepare comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations

    • Review work conducted by junior auditors and trainees

    • Apply data analysis techniques to enhance auditing procedures

    • Identify risks and test internal controls

    • Liaise with management during audits to gather insights and clarify findings

    • Mentor and manage SAICA trainees

    • Continuously improve auditing tools and processes

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Auditing (SAICA or CIA-accredited)

    • Completed articles (SAICA or equivalent)

    • Minimum 3 years of audit experience

    • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and risk assessment

    • Valid Code 8 driver’s license

    • Willingness and ability to travel

    • Self-starter with an ability to work independently and in a team

    • Tech-savvy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office

    • Experience in Arbutus Analyzer and/or Power BI (advantageous)
