Job Description
The Customer Liaison Officer is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by managing customer orders, resolving customer enquiries, and ensuring effective communication between customers and internal departments. The role involves processing sales orders using SAP, coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams, handling customer claims and returns, preparing quotations, and maintaining accurate customer records.
The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring timely order fulfilment, high levels of customer satisfaction, and compliance with company policies and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Provide professional, courteous, and efficient customer service via telephone and email.
- Respond to customer enquiries promptly.
- Resolve customer issues at the first point of contact whenever possible.
- Maintain strong customer relationships.
Order Processing
- Process customer orders accurately using SAP.
- Verify stock availability before processing orders.
- Check customer credit status.
- Ensure accurate order documentation.
Order Coordination
- Work closely with:

- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.
- Coordinate delivery schedules.
Customer Communication

Customer Claims Administration

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Certificate in:
- Customer Service
- Marketing
- Exports
- Or another related qualification at NQF Level 5.
Experience
- Up to 3 years’ experience in:
- Customer Service
- Customer Liaison
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience processing customer orders.
- Experience handling customer enquiries and complaints.
