Job Description
Food Preparation & Production
Prepare food for daily kitchen production according to menu requirements
Ensure food is cooked, presented, and served to required standards
Assist with preparation for special dietary requirements
Food Safety & Hygiene
Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Customer Service
Deliver quality food service that meets customer expectations
Apply customer service principles in daily kitchen operations
Teamwork & Operations
Work effectively as part of a kitchen team
Assist colleagues where required to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cook in a contract catering environment (essential)
Customer service experience (essential)
Matric (essential)
Professional Cookery Certificate (advantage)
Hotel kitchen experience (advantage)
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance
Ability to prepare and manage special diets
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
