    Job Overview:

    The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Clinic Supervisor to join their blood collection department in Bloemfontein. The primary purpose of this role is to supervise the functioning of collections teams, ensuring the safe and effective procurement of blood, the correct treatment of donors and patients, and adherence to all relevant standards, policies, and procedures.

    Job Purpose:

    To supervise blood collection teams ensuring:

    • Targeted blood procurement

    • Correct donor and patient care

    • Execution of complex therapeutic procedures

    • Full compliance with SANBS policies and medical standards

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise collection teams to meet targets and maintain quality

    • Ensure exceptional donor and patient customer service

    • Oversee risk and quality management in area of responsibility

    • Manage people effectively to meet operational goals

    • Participate in business planning and basic financial oversight

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Registered Professional Nurse (RPN)

    • 1+ year of blood transfusion experience

    • Registered with SANC

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office

    • Valid CPR Certificate

    • Valid Code 8 or 10 driver’s license

    • Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends & overtime

    • Physically fit: able to stand for long periods, lift loads up to 14kg, assist with loading/offloading, and climb stairs
