Job Description
As Assistant Store Manager, you will support the day-to-day retail operations, lead the sales team, and ensure an excellent in-store experience for customers. Your role will include training staff, managing inventory, merchandising, and resolving both customer and staff concerns.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
Lead by example to achieve store targets (UPT, ATV, Turnover)
Ensure top-tier customer service and staff supervision
Oversee floor operations and team zoning
Visual Merchandising
Implement VM guidelines and submit weekly photo updates
Maintain product presentation and replenishment standards
Train and assess team in visual merchandising
Inventory Control
Process and capture deliveries same-day
Maintain an organized stockroom
Conduct and report weekly/monthly stock counts
Enforce loss prevention protocols
Daily Operations
Manage staff attendance, opening/closing procedures
Ensure POS accuracy, cash-up, and general housekeeping
Process refunds/exchanges per company policy
Requirements
Education: Matric (compulsory), Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Experience: 1–2 years in a retail managerial role
Skills:
Strong leadership and communication
Customer-focused mindset
Knowledge of retail operations and processes
Qualifications:
