    • Job Title: Armed Reaction Officer
    • Job Type: Full-time Temporary (6-month contract with possibility of permanent placement) Temp to perm
    • Location: Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa
      (Preference will be given to applicants residing in Bloemfontein)
    • Employer: Dark Act Security
    • Salary / Remuneration: R31.32 per hour Expected 52 – 60 hours per week

    Main Purpose of the Job:

    To provide armed response services including rapid reaction to alarms, patrolling assigned areas, ensuring the safety of clients and their property, and maintaining detailed reports of incidents and patrols. Officers are expected to act professionally, follow protocol, and uphold safety standards at all times.

    Key Responsibilities / Main Tasks:

    • Respond quickly and appropriately to alarm activations and emergency calls

    • Conduct area patrols and perform site inspections

    • Maintain visibility, professionalism, and vigilance at all times

    • Accurately complete incident and patrol reports

    • Communicate clearly with the Control Room and clients

    • Comply with all industry regulations, company policies, and legal standards

    Minimum Requirements:

    • PSIRA Registration (minimum Grade C)

    • Valid Firearm License

    • Business Competency Certification for:

      • Handgun

      • Rifle

      • Shotgun

    • Valid Driver’s License (Code 08 or higher)

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in armed reaction

    • Fluent in English with excellent telephone etiquette

    • Clear criminal record

    • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF Level 4)

    • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

    • Physically fit – must meet minimum Regulation 21 fitness and shooting standards

    • Good knowledge of Criminal Law and the Criminal Procedure Act

    • Computer literacy is an advantage

    • Professionalism, reliability, sober habits, and integrity

    Desirable / Additional:

    • Strong situational awareness

    • Ability to stay calm under pressure

    • Strong report-writing and communication skills

    • Must pass routine physical fitness and eye tests
