Job Overview
The Free State Department of Transport is seeking two Administration Clerks: Human Resource Management (HRM) to provide administrative support for personnel matters and employee benefits.
The successful candidates will maintain employee records, assist staff with pension and medical aid documentation, manage the flow and safekeeping of HR documents, liaise with head office and provide administrative support for various conditions of service and employee benefits.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen and provide documentary proof.
- Have Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4 / NQF Level 4 or an equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA.
- Demonstrate competency in the core functions of the position.
- Have general computer literacy.
- Be able to work independently and professionally.
- Demonstrate accountability and credibility.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Have strong planning and organisational abilities.
- Possess sound administrative and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Records & Administration
- Update and maintain employee files.
- Maintain the effective flow of HR documents.
- Ensure the safe keeping of personnel records.
- Receive PDMS documents and forward them to head office.
- Liaise closely with head office regarding personnel matters.
Employee Benefits & Conditions of Service
Provide administrative support for the implementation of conditions of service and employee benefits, including:
- Leave
- Housing
- Medical aid
- Subsistence and Travel (S&T)
- Injury on Duty (IOD)
- Long-service recognition
- Overtime
- Relocation
- Pension
- Allowances
- Termination of service
Employee Support
- Assist employees with completing pension forms.
- Assist employees with completing medical aid forms.
- Provide administrative support and guidance relating to HR processes.
- Ensure personnel documentation is correctly processed and submitted.
