    Job Purpose

    Provide administrative and operational support to the Credit Manager in managing the assigned debtors’ book. Assist the Assistant Accountant with the efficient administration of debtor accounts. Ensure accurate credit administration, payment processing, and customer account management. Support the delivery of efficient credit services while maintaining compliance with company policies and audit requirements.Contribute to effective financial administration and excellent customer service within VKB Financing.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Accurately apply customer payments on a daily basis.
    • Recover ad hoc costs for transactions.
    • Process expense payments accurately and on time.
    • Ensure Electronic Fund Orders (EFOs) and journals comply with audit requirements.
    • Process approval costs and attorney costs.
    • Perform reception duties.
    • Manage office stationery and printer consumables, including ordering ink.
    • Coordinate financing committee room bookings.
    • Administer staff approvals, credit limits, and retirement processes.
    • Create P-numbers for staff and customers.
    • Process inquiries, monthly account applications, purchase card applications, credit limits, retirements, and monthly statements.
    • Process, evaluate, and administer staff accounts.
    • Perform general administrative duties, including EFOs, journals, receipts, and filing.
    • Scan and electronically file completed documents using File Director.
    • Complete and follow up on administrative tasks, including audit queries and customer inquiries.
    • Monitor and manage outstanding staff debtor accounts.
    • Process direct bank payments and allocate funds accurately.
    • Record journals and receipts daily.
    • Resolve customer complaints, requests, and account inquiries from members and non-members.
    • Open and capture new membership applications for members, non-members, and staff.
    • Process membership changes, discounts, transfers, and Board list updates within required deadlines.
    • Collaborate with other business units to address customer needs.
    • Ensure compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act) when handling member information.
    • Complete all assigned tasks professionally, accurately, and within required deadlines.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
    • Computer literacy with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
    • Commitment to continuously improving work processes and adding value to the role.

    Recommended Experience

    • Previous experience within the banking or financial services environment will be an added advantage.
